Girl Killed In Fire at Home Rockford, Sept. 15 (AP) Roberta Kosian, 11, was burned to death today in a fire in her Rockford home. - - The girl's parents were taken to Rockford Memorial Hospital. Her father, Robert, 42, was in' serious condition with burns covering 60 per cent of his body.v Her mother, Betty, 36, was burned on the face, hands and neck. . ' Deputy Fire Chief Albert Sapo-riti Sapo-riti Sapo-riti 'said Mr. and Mrs. Kosian were forced to smash their bedroom window to escape the flames. They tried to force open the window to their daughter's room, but were driven back by flames. ' Saporiti said the blaze apparently apparently began in a television set in the living room. He estimated damage at $3,000. Roberta's body was found under the window her parents attempted to open. A crucifix was clutched in her hand. The girl was a sixth grade pupil at St. Paul's Lutheran school. ,
