Community industries Bomb Thrown Into Sullivan Warehouse; Arson Foiled Sullivan, Oct. 9 (Special) A makeshift time bomb was found in a warehouse of Community Community Industries of Sullivan today today after it failed to start a fire. The gasoline and oil mixture in the bomb splattered against cardboard cardboard when the glass container broke after being thrown through a window of the building on West Jefferson Street. Firemen said an attached fuse had been lighted, The bomb was taken to the state crime laboratory in Springfield, but no clues have been found. Another Community Industries the downtown square burned Sept. 15. Cause of that blaze is still not known. Today s attempted arson was discovered' at 11 a.m. when employes employes smelled the bomb's mix ture and investigated to find the broken gas jug. The warehouse contained supplies supplies of the firm's Garden Tools Division. The building is owned by Earl Walker Co., Inc., of Sullivan.
