www.herald-review.com Wednesday, July 23, 2014 ecatur, Ill I no I D3 Kirkland DECATUR Robert M. Kirkland, 61, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at St. Hospital in Decatur. Bob was born September 21, 1952 in Decatur, the son of John and Cordelia Eileen (Fisher) Kirkland. He proudly served his country in the USMC during Vietnam.

He was previously employed with the Decatur Public Building Commission for eighteen ye ars and TSC Director of the Macon County Jail for thirty- four years. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and helping others. He le aves behind his sons Chris Kirkland of Decatur and Timmy Kirkland of Decatur, daughter Laura McCormick and husband Brandon of Decatur, mother Eileen of Decatur, grandchildr en Christopher, Jordan, and Nicholas Kirkland and Haley and Mariah McCormick, great-grandchild Raylan McC ormick, brothers Bruce Kirkland of Harristown, Russell Kirkland of Decatur, and Tom irkland of Decatur, sister Vickie Kincaid and husband Jeff of Decatur, nephews Shannon, Rob (Lorena), Todd (Kristy), Tommy, and Jeremy, and nieces Kelly, Carla, and Amanda. He was greeted in Heaven by his father, sister Gwendolyn, and infant granddaughter. Services to celebrate life will be 10 a.m.

Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Funeral Home, with Pastor John Laux officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 Friday, July 25, 2014 at the funeral home. Funer al service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (July 25, 2014) at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Visit ation will be held from on Thursday (July 24, 2014) at Dawson Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be sent to Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mim as born on October 1, 1921, in Peru, Indiana, the daughter of Franklin and Mary Sheridan Maloney. She married Russell Mansfield Amdal in March of 1 946 and he preceded her in death in November of 1993.

Mim was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church, PEO, and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni of Indiana University. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, entertaining, bridge, book clubs, and was active in many Decatur community organizations. Mim is sur vived by her son: James Russell Amdal and wife, Nancy Martin Amdal, of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren: Alvar Russell Amdal and his wife Jolie Elise Meaux of Lafayette, LA and Jamie Amdal Hughes and husband Ryan Jude Hughes of New Orleans, LA; great-grandchildren: Mae Elise Amdal, Evelyn Louisa Amdal, Frances Meaux Amdal, and Jude Russell Hughes. Mim was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Shirley Elizabeth Nicholson. The family would like to thank Primrose Retirement Community and Comfort Keepers, as well Hazel Moux and her home sitting te am for their loving and kind care to Mim.

Jim graduated St. Thomas Grade School and St. Teresa High School, Class of He married Diana Sunderland October 30, 1959 and celebrated 54 wonderful years. Jim served his Sheet Metal Apprenticeship at King Lar and Longbons. In 1978 he co- founded Craftmas ters Roofing and Sheet Metal and in 1984 bec ame partner of Prairie Central Maintenance, retiring in 2009.

Jim proudly served with the Illinois National Guard for ten years. He was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for over 50 years, was a member of the ery Rev. Jeremiah J. Murphy Assembly Knights of Columbus Council and member of South Side Country Club where he enjoyed many occasions with the Jim, a thoughtful and humble man, was always ready to help out and share his many talents with others. He attributed his success to those around him.

He enjoyed his family and travels to various places, especially exploring the Hawaiian Islands through the eyes of his granddaughters. An avid sports fan, he alw ays enjoyed a ball game or the annual Shareholders meeting at Lambeau Field, instilling Pack er loyalty to his daughter and granddaughters, although his son-in-law remains a fan. Jim is survived by his soul mate, Diana, his daughter Michele her husband John Mass and their his pride and joy- Emma and Fiona of San Marino, California; a brother Walter of Farmington, New Mexico; sister Helene Brown and her children David, Jeannie and Michael all residing in California; nephew Brian Eddings of Georgia and great-nephew Buck Eddings of Florida; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley James and his parents. A special thank you to Jerry and Nancy Wade for their loving help and support.

She married the lov of her life Charles Donald Kerwood on October 10, 1943. He predeceased her in death on March 5, 2008. She enjoyed crocheting doilies and afghans and giving them away. She worked for Shudels Dry Cleaners as a spotter for six years and also worked as a cook for LSA for several years where she was affectionately known as by the children. She was a lifelong member of St.

Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteering in the office for years. Bec ause of her active lifestyle she was the subject of a television commercial for Eagle Ridge Assist ed Living. Eunice is survived by her son Donald F. Kerwood and his wife Nancy of Decatur, IL; daughter Alice M. Doeding and her husband Rus sell of Mt.

Zion, IL; grandsons Christopher D. Kerwood and his wife April of Decatur, IL and Mark A. Doeding of Auburndale, FL; granddaughter Melissa J. Whittington of Dec atur, IL; great-granddaughter Krista Kerwood of Dec atur, IL and great-grandson Tristan Whittington of Decatur, IL; brother Earl Strahle and wife Rosine of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Ralph Strahle and Robert Str ahle, sisters Eleanor Schroat, Caroline Gaither and Adeline Bright.
