Monday (Nov. 8, 1999) in her residence. Services will be 10 a.m. Thurs Macon County Somers DECATUR Elmer Henry Somers, 79, Pioneer, brother of L. Thomas and James both of Decatur, died Tuesday (Nov.

9, 1999). Prayer services and funeral Mass, St. Rose Church, time pending. Burial: St. Rose Cemetery.

Dillow MOUNT ZION Mervin E. Dillow of Mount Zion, formerly of Cerro Gordo, died at 1:03 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 7, 1999) in St. Mary's Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, Mount Zion. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery.

Memorials: American Heart Association. Mr. Dillow was born in Cerro Gordo on Aug. 22, 1911, the son of Charles and Nancy Jackson Dillow. He was a retired farmer; farming many years in the Cerro Gordo area.

He was affiliated with the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. He married Rowena Breisford in 1932. She preceded him in death in 1965. He married Opal L. Doore in 1970.

She preceded him in death on March 6, 1972. He married Nina Breisford in 1981. She preceded him in death March 7, 1992. Surviving are his son, Leroy Dillow of rural Decatur; daughter, Luella M. Kelly of Los Lumas, N.M.; grandchildren Albert Dillow and wife Gwen of Dalton City; Sandy Jones and husband Mike of Dalton City; Jeannie Burger and husband Mike of Decatur; Patty Sauter and husband David of Tacos, N.M.; Peggy Getman of LosLumas, N.M.; Phyllis Kelly of LosLumas, N.M.; Cindy Anderson and husband Jerry of Mount Zion; greatgrandchildren, Jennifer, Jerod and John Sauter; Melissa, Rachael and Audrey Getman; Addie Parnell, Wendy and Rheoana Kelly; Misty and Jessica Dillow; Kelli and Doug Jones; Brandy Chisenall and husband Gary; April Burger and Zachary and Courtney Anderson; great-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Tristan Chisenall, Tanner and Allen Parnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, a daughter-in-law, Louise, one brother, two sisters, one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Jones, and several half brothers and sisters. She was the daughter of James Speagle and Minnie Speagle. She lived in Durham, N.C., and attended Bethesda schools, later moving to Ruth Robb Decatur, 111., and graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. She attended Piedmont Bible College, Winston Salem, N.C. She was proprietress of Robb Tax and Accounting Service, having been authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an enrolled agent May 1985.

She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, Decatur, and was active in church youth and AWANA programs. She was a member of the Eastern Vivian Chapter 344, Macon. Sie was also a member of the ladies auxiliary, American Legion Post 105. She was a member of the Independent Accountants Association of Illinois. She was an avid bridge player.

She married Milford D. Robb on Feb. 14, 1941. Surviving are her husband and children: Cheryl Sappington and husband Art of Decatur; Linda Robb of Alameda, Roger Robb and wife Cindy of Alpharetta, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that Ruth loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, three brothers, one daughter and one grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Calvary Southern Baptist Church, 1833 S. Country Club Road, Decatur. If people have wondered where I have gone my citizenship is in heaven.

7, 1999) in Fair Havens Christian Home. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials: Riverside Baptist Church or American Bertha Gilbert Cancer Society.

Arrangements by: GracelandFairlawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Gilbert was born in Keokuk, Iowa, on Feb. 26, 1914, the daughter of Bert and Lula Carnes Doore. She was a retired bookkeeper from the Pomona Cemetery in Pomona, Calif.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Pomona; the Charter Oak Club in Moweaqua and she attended the Riverside Baptist Church. She married Chester Gilbert and he preceded her in death in 1963. Surviving are her sisters, Annetta Smith of Decatur; Dorothy Matheson and husband Robert of Batavia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Cecil E. Doore.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Fair Havens Christians Home and a very special thanks to Pam Freeze for all of her help. It Gluck DECATUR Henry Gluck, 87, of Decatur died Tuesday (Nov. 9, 1999) in Lincoln Manor, Decatur. Dawson Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

His body will be cremated. To honor Mr. Gluck's wishes, there will bo no visitation or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of choice. Mr.

Gluck was born in Poland, the son of Manuel and Bilma Goldwasser Gluck. He began working at Gluck's Furs at age 16 and was active partner in the business for many years. He was a master furrier and devoted his life to his craft. He was a member of the Temple B'nai Abraham, the Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Decatur Council, Elks Lodge 401 and the American Legion 104. He was a veteran of WTorld War II, serving with the 84th Infantry Division.

Mr. Gluck was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Purple Heart. He married Betty Hooper Blakeney on March 20, 1970. He will be sadly missed by his wife Betty, daughters Jo Young and her husband Jim of Decatur and Sherry Vachio of Nehalem son, Rob of Chapel Hill, N.C.; grandchildren, Lisa Lloyd, Lauren Kennedy, Travis Williams; great-granddaughters, Alyssa Dimmick and Flora Rose Lloyd. Hardin DECATUR Irma Magdalen Hardin, 88, Decatur, formerly of Argenta, retired licensed practical nurse, St.

Mary's Hospital, died Sunday (Nov. 7, 1999). Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation: was Tuesday with arrangements by Brintlinger's Funeral Home.

Burial: Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta. Parlier DECATUR Otto B. Parlier, 96, Decatur, died Sunday (Nov. 7, 1999). Services: 1 p.m.

McDowell, 95, of Decatur, formerly of Nokomis, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 9, 1999) in his residence. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Nokomis.

Pastor Jeff Bapst will be officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis. Burial will be in Irving Cemetery. Mr.

McDowell was born in Irving on Aug. 22, 1904, the son of Edward H. McDowell and Carrie Adeline Whitnam. He was a Kroeger truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Irving AF AM 466 for 66 years.

He married Cardina Schneider on Jan. 26, 1929, in Edwardsville. Surviving are his sons, Pierce E. (Mary Lou) McDowell of El Paos, Texas; Jerry (Nancy) McDowell of Decatur; eight grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. Nash DECATUR Elta C.

Nash, 90, of Decatur, died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 9, 1999) in McKinley Court. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Macon County Memorial Park.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements by: J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Mrs.

Nash was born in Boody, the daughter of Perry and Carrie (Austin) Moore. She was a home-maker and a member of the United Methodist Church. She married Homer E. Minnis. He preceded her in death in 1944.

She then married William Hallie Nash. He preceded her in death in 1970. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Damery and husband Darrell of Blue Mound. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Laura Edna Gidel and Lima Young; brother, Floyd Moore. Neeley DECATUR Zelda Mae Neeley, 93, of Decatur died at 1:20 p.m.

Monday (Nov. 8, 1999) in her residence. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Graceland Zelda Neeley American Heart Association. Zelda was born in Paris on Sept. 16, 1906, the daughter of Cleveland and Minerva Jane Mer-shon Haws.

She retired from the Decatur Club as a laundry room manager after more than 20 years. She was a member of the Third United Methodist Church. She married Wilmer Neeley on Jan. 6, 1925. He preceded her in death on Oct.

24, 1965. Surviving are her sons, Bob Neely and wife Edna; Bill Neeley; Jack Neeley and wife Connie and Jerry Neeley and wife Peggy, all of Decatur; daughters, Ada Hunt and Betty Grubbs of Decatur; brothers, Benny Haws and wife Marilyn; Jimmy Haws and wife Roberta, all of Decatur; sister, Dorothy Harbour and husband Vern of Mary Thimens and husband Robert of Findley; Rudy Cook and husband Harry of Decatur; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, David and Cleveland Haws; sisters, Judy Arndt and Jean Kay; granddaughter, Linda Gant; great-grandchildren, Jessica Cook, Dawn Neeley and Brian Gordon; son -in-law, Bob Hunt; daughter-in-law, Kathy Neeley. 1 day in Brintlinger's Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials: Christ United Methodist Lois Reeves Church or DMH Hospice. Mrs. Reeves was born in Macon, the daughter of Jesse Clyde Moore and Polly (Austin) Moore.

Mrs. Reeves was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was actively involved with community activities, including her involvement with the Scouts for 20 years. She had worked as a line inspector for Taylor Pharmaceuticals prior to her retirement. She married Charles W. Reeves in Macon, on Sep.

14, 1952. Surviving are husband, Charles; children, Donna Wagner and husband John of Salt Lake City, Utah; David Reeves and wife Karen of Decatur; Dale Reeves and wife Lisa of Roscoe; brothers, Benjamin Moore and wife Beulah of E. Alton; Joseph Moore and wife Lola of Bradenton, sister, Velma Miller and husband Ernest of Macon; 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald, Charles and Paul Moore.
