Cornell TOLEDO Delbert W. Cornell, 87, Toledo, retired from Quinn Broom Factory, Greenup, died Wednesday (Jan. 6, 1999). Member: Calvary Tabernacle U.P. Church, Toledo.

Survivors: wife, Florence; son, Wendell Cornell, Toledo; sister, Eva Becker, Neoga; two granddaughters, five greatgrandchildren. Preceded by: one brother and one sister. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home, Neoga. Visitation: one hour before services.

Burial: Neoga Memorial Cemetery. Memorials: Calvary Tabernacle U.P. Church, Toledo. Macon County Albers BLUE MOUND Lilly E. Svendsen Albers, 82, of rural Blue Mound died 4:10 a.m.

Thursday (Jan. 7, 1999) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Zion Chapel United Methodist Church, Blue Mound, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Blue Mound Township. Mrs. Albers was born in Decatur, the daughter of Niels and Johanne Miller Svendsen. She was a member of Zion Chapel United Methodist Church and had worked as a bookkeeper at Svendsen Florist for many years. She married Edward Albers in Decatur in 1944.

Surviving are her husband; son, E. Robert Albers and wife Karen of Decatur; daughter, Elsie J. "Susie" Augustine and husband Dr. William Augustine of Malta; sisters, Elsie Svendsen of Decatur; Eline Svendsen of Mat-toon; grandchildren, Rob Albers and wife Maryann of Decatur; Kristin Fagin and husband Matt of St. Louis; Joy Augustine of St.

Louis; Paul Augustine of Malta; great-grandchildren; Kaleigh and Tyler Albers. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ervin. Herschberger ARTHUR Chris E. Herschberger, 93, of Arthur died 9 p.m. Wednesday (Jan.

6, 1999) in his home. Services will be 9 a.m. Sunday in the Adlai Helmuth residence, Arthur. Friends may call at the residence noon Friday to service time Sunday. Burial will be in Otto Cemetery, Arthur.

Arrangements are by McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Arthur. Mr. Herschberger was born in Arthur on Feb. 8, 1905, the son of Eli C. and Lydia Miller Herschberger.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. He married Amelia Bontrager in Arthur on Dec. 29, 1927. She preceded him in death on July 16, 1996. Surviving are his sons, Ervin (Esther Otto) of Humboldt; Levi (Edna Schrock) and Eli (Anna Marie Stutzman), all of Arthur; Monroe (Mary Stutzman) of Sullivan; Chris Jr.

(Fannie Kauffman) of Watoma, Oba (Lorene Bontrager) of Sullivan; daughters, Mrs. Ammon (Katie) Miller of Arthur; Mrs. Andy (Irma) Schrock of Bloomfield, Iowa; Mrs. Jake (Sarah) Graber and Mrs. Ben (Ella) Diener, all of Arthur; Mrs.

Levi (Lydia Mae) Yoder of Westfield, Mrs. Orie (Fannie) Helmuth and Mrs. Lewis (Viola) Schrock, all of Arthur; Mrs. Andy (Mary) Yoder of Humboldt; brothers, John of Arthur; Noah of Humboldt; Harvey of Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Pryde was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Palmer, the daughter of Charles Ross and Ollie Elizabeth Edwards Durbin. She retired from the Ben Franklin Store in 1977. She enjoyed doing crafts and was a die-hard Cubs fan. She married John August Pryde Jan.

12, 1933, in Decatur. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1962. South DECATUR Hilda Lukens Finch South, 71, of Decatur went to heaven 4:45 a.m. Friday (Jan. 1, 1999) in the home of her daughter, after a very long battle with cancer. Due to weather conditions, services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan.

23, in Dawson Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home, with Hilda South visitation one hour before services. Memorials: Hospice. Hilda was born in Clinton on Oct. 17, 1927, the daughter of Dwight T. and Lillian Hinkle Lukens.

She formerly worked at Illinois Bell and later became a foreman at General Electric Changer Plant until its closing in 1972. She was a bartender at the Alcazar for many years. She was an avid bowler and a member of River Rats Club in Oreana. She was previously married to Paul H. Finch Sr.

He preceded her in death in 1987 Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca Raber of Ft. Myers, Sheila V. Rodmaker and fiance Paul Hauck and Trudi Sim-roth and husband John, all of Decatur; brothers, William T. "Luke" Lukens and wife Marcy of Arizona; George Lukens of California; grandchildren, Todd Raber and wife Laura and Heather Raber, all of Ft. Myers; Shane McCool and wife Stephani of Louden, Tonya Gehrken and husband John, April Rod-maker, Derrick Grimes, Dustin Grimes and Russell Simroth, all of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Darian Raber, Keandra Raber, Ty Gehrken and Caleb Gehrken; very special friend, Bill Perry.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister-in-law, Lynette Lukens. She will be remembered for her love of life, endless smile, her outspoken personality and her undying love for her family. She will be greatly missed by anyone who ever crossed her path in life. Stout DECATUR Elmer L. "Roy" Stout 65, Decatur, died Wednesday (Jan.

6, 1999). Graveside services: 1 p.m. Monday, Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton. Visitation: 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Brintlinger's Funeral Home.

ev -I DECATUR Clarence Rader, 83, of Decatur died Tuesday (Dec. 29, 1998). Funeral Mass was 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m.

Friday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home Clarence Rader with 8 p.m. vigil prayer service. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Teresa High School.

Mr. Rader was born in Rush County, on March 13, 1915, the son of Daniel Edward and Wilhelmina Gahimaer Rader. He retired from Staley's as a millwright in 1980 after 39 years of service. Mr. Rader was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

He was a past treasurer and president of St. James Credit Union and was also past director on the board of Staley's Credit Union. He married Helen Graczyk on Jan. 28, 1939. Surviving are his wife, daughters, Ruth King of Springfield; Anna Lang and husband Terrance of Joliet; Karen Davidson and husband William of Decatur; son, Clarence Edward Rader of Decatur; brother, Carl Rader of Milan; sister, Opal Theel of Rock Island; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be deeply missed. Central Illinois Baird MOWEAQUA Wanda Louise Baird, 84, of Moweaqua, died 3:15 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 6, 1999) in St.

Mary's Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Memorials: First Baptist Church, 300 N. Putnam, Moweaqua, IL 62550 or American Cancer Society. Mrs. Baird was born in Cowden on July 18, 1914, the daughter of Jacob and Corda Christie Lockart. She was a retired beautician, member of First Baptist Church and a member of Tacuseh Chapter 682 Order of the Eastern Star.

She married Gilbert Baird in Moweaqua on June 13, 1936. Surviving are her husband; son, Charles and wife Tina of Assumption; sister, Virginia Adams of Moweaqua; sister-in-law, Mary Lockart of Moweaqua; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Lockart. Baker TOWER HILL Bertha Baker, nee van Nieuw Amerongen, 63, of Tower Hill died Monday (Jan. 4, 1999) in St.

Vincent's Hospital, Taylorville. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Shelbyville. Arrangements by: Lockart Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice, St. Vincent's Hospital, 933 Spresser, Taylorville, IL 61568. Mrs. Baker was born in the Netherlands. She, along with her parents and eight brothers and sisters immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1952.

In 1960 she continued her travels and moved to Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Ken; children, Diane Brod, Hank Boonstra Sr. and Mary Ann Kegel; grandchildren, Shaunna, Jenni, Hank Jessi and Jacki. Bertha came from a large family and is predeceased by her mother, father and brother, but yet leaves behind seven sisters and three brothers to carry on the family traditions and values. Bottrell, 59, Mount Auburn, farmer, died Wednesday (Jan. 6, 1999). Member: Mount Auburn United Methodist Church and Christian County Farm Bureau. Survivors: parents, Donald H. and Hazel L.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Monticello on April 10, 1916, the daughter of Forrest and Hazel Parks Davis. She worked on the assembly line at Camp Creek Duck Farm in Monticello. She married Paul M. Taylor on Feb.

2, 1941. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1977. Surviving are her sons, Charles Eubanks of LaPorte, Robert Eubanks of Indianapolis, daughters, Norma Peake and Nancy Morris, both of Monticello; Linda Hulse of Tolono; brother; Forrest Davis of Lake Forest; sisters, Grace Smith of DeLand; Mary Ann Rodgers of Monticello; Edna Perry of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, one daughter and one stepdaughter.

Colbeck, 64, of Winfield, formerly of Decatur, died Wednesday (Dec. 30, 1998) in Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Mo. Services were Saturday, Jan. 2, in Baue Chapel, O'Fallon, with visitation 3 to 8 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 1. Burial was in St. Charles Memorial Gardens, St. Charles, Mo.

Memorials: Shriners Hospitals for Children. Mr. Colbeck was born in Decatur on Sept. 5, 1934. He was retired from the Defense Department, an Air Force veteran serving from Sept.

11, 1951 to June 30, 1955, and a member of Palestine Lodge 241, St. Louis Scottish Rite, Moolah Shrine of St. Louis, American Legion 313 of St. Peters, Amvets 106 and Trustee Elks Lodge 2587. Conner DECATUR Mary V. Conner, 76, formerly of Decatur, died Wednesday (Jan.

6, 1999) in Villa Mary Immaculate. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorials in her memory may be made to Thousands Islands Girl Scout Council, 445 Factory Mary Conner Water-town, NY 13601. Mrs. Conner was born in Decatur the daughter of Walter and Mildred Dennis.

She was a homemaker and was very active in the Girl Scout movement as a troop leader in Bonneville, Roseville, and in Massena, N.Y., as well as Neighborhood Chairman at International Rapids Neighborhood and director of the Thousands Island Council. She had a deep interest in family history and had done extensive research in the genealogy of her own family and that of her husband. She was an active volunteer with the White Cane Club of Massena. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Robert; children, Sandra and John Phillips of Colonie; Barbara and Walter Herrod of Kinderhook; Richard and Karen Conner of Fultonham, N.Y.; grandchildren. Julie and Dan Phillips, Casey Herrod; niece, Nancy Robinson of California; cousin, Dorthea Sitze of St.

She was an active Den Mother with Cub Scouts Pack 14 at Garfield. She was a past member of the Decatur Club and was active in the Crafts Club at Venture Three Retirement Community, Jensen Beach, Fla.

She married Raymond C. Kileen Dec. 6, 1930. He preceded her in death May 5, 1998. Surviving are her son, Robert Kileen and wife Sara of Decatur; grandson, David M.

Kileen and wife Lori of Bloomfield Hills, two granddaughters, Nancy Pearl and husband Sam of Gainesville, and Mary Ann Ford and husband Perry of Champaign; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Pearl, Theron Ford, Sara Kileen, Benjamin Kileen, Ellison Ford and Anna Kileen.
