Cain was born in Litchfield, daughter of Joel T. and Rebecca Duncan. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, the Grace United Methodist Church and Decatur Chapter 111 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Mecca Shrine 53, White Shrine of Jerusalem, was past matron of the Mecca Shrine, and worked for the Bement Register from 1903 to 1907. She married Arthur Cain in 1908.

He preceded her in death. Surviving is sister, Mrs. Bertha M. Barr of Decatur. One brother preceded her in death.

DUNCAN Mrs. Jesse (Julia N. Bas-com) Duncan, 79, formerly of the Hotel Orlando, died 9:05 a.m. Sunday in Woodland Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Graceland Ceme- ARNOLD Mrs. Guy (Emma A. Robb) Arnold, 95, of Decatur, formerly of Kinmundy, died 1:30 a.m.

Sunday in her daughter's home in Decatur. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Linton Funeral Home, Kinmundy, with visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy.

Mrs. Arnold was born near Kinmundy, daughter of Francis M. and Julia Robb. She was a member of the Kinmundy United Methodist Church. She married Guy Arnold.

He died in 1964. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Arno (Elizabeth) Smith of Decatur; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren. CAIN Mrs. Arthur (Gertrude Dun-cn) Cain, 92, formerly of 844 W.

He married Serena Ritter in 1946. She died Aug. 3, 1976. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Adah Staats and Vada Lappin, both of Decatur. Two sisters preceded him in death.

SMITH Dale Edward Smith, 56, of Wilmington, formerly of Decatur, died 9:20 a.m. Friday in his home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Roosevelt Cemetery, Gardena, Calif. Mr.

Smith was born in Decatur, son of William and Mabel Smith. Surviving are a brother, Raymond W. of Long Beach, sisters, Dorris Krutick of Cypress, Dorothy Bright-ing of San Gabriel, Mildred Dillow Gregory of Decatur. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. VAN OPPEN Mrs.

Bernice Van Oppen, 69, of Bloomington, formerly of Decatur, died 12:15 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Brintlinger's Funeral Home. THREE CHARGED WITH BURGLARY Three area men have been charged in Macon County Circuit Court with the October, 1975, burglary of a rural Decatur home.

She was a member of the West Side Christian Church, Springfield. She married Allen Franz. He died in 1957. Surviving are sons, Henry and Gene, both of Springfield; daughter, Mrs. Albert (Bettie) Carter of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

One son preceded her in death. HILL Mrs. Russell (Louise Lut-trell) Hill, 70, of Palmer died 4 a.m. Sunday in St. John's Mercy Hospital, St.

Louis, Mo. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenhaven Memorial Cemetery, Taylorville.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Bertha Mae Sebens of of Decatur. MATHERLY Mrs. William T. (Lillie M.

Meece) Matherly, 85, of 1423 Fair died 8:50 a.m. Sunday in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger's Pershing Funeral Home, with visitation after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Matherly was born in Nancy, daughter of IWil-liam and Haney Meece. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was retired from the Decatur Memorial Hospital housekeeping staff. She married William J.

Matherly in 1910. He died in 1954. Surviving are sons, George D. Edward "Bill," Clarence D. and Charles all of Decatur; Everett of Windsor; daughters, Mrs.

Everett (Ella) Mrs. Homer C. (Dorothy) Sumpter, Mrs. Wayne (Flonmie) Mier and Mrs. John (Emma) Farr, all of Decatur; Mrs.

RITTER Ralph Ritter, 94, of 1895 N. Summit Ave. died 2:15 a.m. Sunday in his home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m.

Burial was in Tower Hill Cemetery. Mr. Foor was born In Shelby County. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Pana; Pana Lodge 226 and American Legion. He married Myrtle Moore Jones in 1963.

Mr. Koehnke was born in Illinois, son of August and Eleanor Koehnke. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Sullivan. He married Margaret Math-eson in 1952. Surviving are his wife; sisters, Mrs.

Elsie Hahn of Iuka; Mrs. Grace Timm of Urbana. POCOCK Mrs. Burrel (Lulu Roberta Anderson) Pocock, 88, of No-komis died 11:55 a.m. Friday in Hillsboro Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Karlovski Funeral Home, Nokomis, with visitation 4 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in No-bcmis Cemetery. Mrs.

Pocock was born in No komis, daughter of Robert and Nancy Anderson. She was a member of the First United Mehodist Church of Nokomis and the Happy Hour Club. She married Burrel Pocock in 1907. He died in 1952. Surviving are son, Donald of Litchfield Park, one granddaughter.

SANDERS Henry Sanders, 71, of Windsor died 4 a.m. Sunday in Shelby County Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lockart Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and 8 p.m.

Masonic rites. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor, is handling arrangements. Mr. Sanders was born in Tower Hill, son of John and Anna Sanders.

He was a member of the Winebrinner Chapel at Mattoon and Hazelwood Lodge 459 of Seymour, Mo. He married Stella Morrow in 1926. Surviving are his wife; sons, Roy of Springfield; Lester of Athens, Leo, Paul and Elmer, all of Windsor; daughter, Mrs. Edith Banning of Shelbyville; Mrs. Alice Hardin of Loxa; Mrs.

Nellie Sutton of Windsor; 16 grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. WALKER Charles Albert Walker, 65, of rural Windsor died 6:40 a.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.

Mr. Walker was born in Shelby County, son of Fred E. and Bertha Walker. He was a member of the New Liberty Church of Christ near Sullivan and the Shelby County Farm Bureau. He married Mary E.Voegel in 1933.
