She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She worked as a school bus driver for the Warrensburg school district for many years. She was very active in the community and served as librarian at the Barclay library in Warrensburg.

She enjoyed many craft projects including cooking, sewing, stained glass work, needlework, and painting. She always looked forward to the activities of her Red Hat Society. She was blessed with many good friends and a loving family. She married Homer Daugherty in 1957 in St. James Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband Homer, children, Daniel Daugherty (Joann) of Warrensburg; Mathew Daugherty (Laura) of O'Fallon, MO; Hugh Daugherty (Julie) Stoughton, WI; Heather Daugherty of Decatur; sisters, Yvonne Holman (Gary) of Melvern, PA; Annette Long (Lud) of Big Sky, MT; Kristine Williams of Decatur; grandchildren, Dana, Suzanne, Jeremy, Tara, Nathan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Maria, and father and mother-in-law Homer and Evelyn Daugherty. Special thanks to the Warrensburg Fire Department. Betty was born June 21, 1915 in Chicago, the daughter of Louis and Catherine (Danko) Huska. He preceded her in death in 1949. In 1953 she married John C. Marsala who preceded her in death on January 4, 2008. She is survived by sons Mark (Kathy) Sorensen of Decatur and Geoffrey Sorensen of Huntley; granddaughters Jennifer (Ryan) Raleigh of Decatur, Erika Sorensen of Denver and Jeanne Sorensen of Chicago; and great grandchildren Owen and Grace Elizabeth Raleigh. She also was preceded in death by her mother, father, and younger siblings Anne, Louis, Steve, and Gerald Huska.

She was active in the Women's Circle at Church and well-known for her baking and cooking. Charles was born October 4, 1922, in Warrensburg, IL, the son of Charles and Clara (Williams) Kerwood.

He married Eunice Strahle on October 10, 1943, in Decatur, IL. Charles was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He retired as a truck driver after 30 years of service and previously worked at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Charles was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eunice of Decatur, IL; son Donald Francis Kerwood and wife Nancy of Decatur, IL; daughter Alice May Doeding and husband Russell of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren Chris D. Kerwood and wife April of Decatur, IL, Mark A.

Doeding of Davenport, FL, Melissa Whittington of Blue Mound, IL; great grandchildren Krista Kerwood and Tristen Whittington; brother Lewis Kerwood of Aspen, CO; sister Doris Chandler of Decatur, IL. Robert was born on July 6, 1926 in Hartford City, IN the son of Glenn and Dorothy DECATUR Wilkins 81 of Wednesday Decatur Robert Wilkins ARMY (Anderson) Wilkins. He was a propane salesman and was an avid outdoorsman his favorite place being the Current River, Ozarks, Missouri. His love of nature and wildlife inspired his children to appreciate it all the more. He was the Best husband, dad, grandfather and friend anyone could ask for. He always tried and succeeded in giving all of us the very best.

He will be forever missed but never be forgotten. Daddy, we love you. Robert served his country proudly in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Sharron Y. McGaughey on June 10, 1945 in Biloxi, MS.

Surviving are his wife, Sharron, children, John M. Wilkins (Mitchi) of Pittsburgh, PA; Ann Elizabeth Gudmundson (Randy) of Corona, CA; Melissa K. Fox (Raymond) of Twin Lakes, WI; Carolyn Stotler of Quincy, IL; Susan McCain (Dale) of Mt. Pulaski; brother, Richard Wilkins of Texas; sisters Beverly Craig of Columbus, IN; Linda Fesmire of Markelville, IN; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

16, 1913, McKinzey in was Wapella, born, son of Walter A. and Ola Mae McAlister McKinzey. He was a retired farmer and a bulldozer operator. Mr. McKinzey was a member of Wapella Christian Church.

He enjoyed grandchildren, fishing and gardening. Mr. McKinzey married Dorothy Eileen Sympson on July 10, 1935, in Bloomington. She preceded him in death Sept. 22, 2002.

Surviving are his son, Darrell (Charlene) McKinzey of Clinton; daughters, Betty Ruble, Beverly (John) Reid, Marjorie (Richard) Hunt and Lois (Mike) Bray, all of Clinton; siblings, Oliver McKinzey of Peoria; Tude McKinzey and Larry McKinzey, both of Arizona; Mary Kluts of Lincoln; 20 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild. of Decatur, at his home on June 22, 1953 in Effingham, IL. He was a 1971 graduate of Stephen Decatur fligh School and a lifelong resident of Decatur. Dale was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1977, having studied in Germany with the U.S. Army Engineer School. Dale's life revolved around his family.

His first thoughts were always of them-never himself. He loved serving friends and customers with their automotive needs. He was a devoted son and master mechanic at Mason's Amoco for more than 35 years where he worked with his father, Cliff. Dale was recognized and trusted by people who saw him as honest and considerate of their needs. His unselfishness led to his enduring success in business.

Smart HERRICK Smart, 74, of passed away rounded by his Roger Smart Roger Allen Herrick, Illinois peacefully surfamily at 10:05 p.m. Friday, March 7 in his home. Roger was born September 24, 1933 in rural Herrick, Illinois the son of Allen and Bertha Hinton smart. He married Carol Hays October 4, 1952 in be ARMY Herrick Baptist church by Carol's grandfather L.

M. Hays. Roger was a veteran United States Army, serving during the Korean War from 1953 through 1955. He was a lifelong farmer and retired dairy farmer. He was very active in his community serving on numerous boards and organizations.

He was a member of the eastern Illinois livestock association, American Legion sarver-guthrie post 839 Herrick, and celebration community church. He served as president of Myers cemetery, Herrick Community Center Committee, and the Herrick and Cowden Herrick school boards. Roger could be found auctioning at local auctions and area benefits. He was a real estate salesman for many years and was also the announcer at the Herrick 4th of July parade. Roger was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He always put God and his family above all his needs. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, carol; two daughters, Debbie (husband, Leroy) Albright of Herrick and Judy stitch of sty. Louis, Missouri; three granddaughters, shanty (husband, Steve) will of Effingham, Kendra (husband jeered) Lorton of Ramsey, and Camilla (husband, Weston) Wilhour of Beecher City; six great-grandchildren Dylan, Elizabeth, and Allison will, Abigail and Andrew Lorton, and jade without; one sister, Louise (husband, Bob) Hess of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Tuesday, march 11, 2008 at the celebration community church in Pana, Illinois on south route 51 with Rev. Terry Walters officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Herrick Community Building. Burial will be in the Myers cemetery in Herrick.
