Thursday in Macon United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon. Memorials: Macon United Methodist Church.

Mr. Troxel was born in Areola, son of Floyd E. and Nellie M. Cox Troxel. He was a member of Macon United Methodist Church.

He was a 1943 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. He retired from Flaugher Electric in 1987. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Beverly Jean Fleetwood in 1950. Surviving are his wife; son, Mark Troxel of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughter, Georgiann Troxel of Blackhawk, Colo.

Sparling on Dec. 24, 1952. She was retired from Taylor's Pharmaceuticals in Decatur and was owner-operator of Plaques and Knacks in Bethany. She was a member of the Decatur Moose Lodge. Surviving are her husband; sons, Ivan W.

Sparling of Waco, Texas; Rocky J. Sparling of Decatur; daughters, Penny L. May of Conroe. Texas; Teresa J. Carna-han of Azle, Texas; brothers, Ray Stinson of Decatur; Richard Stin-son of Florida; sister, Vernetta Linkhart of Tigard, eight grandchildren.

Allen was born in Livingston, son of Elbert F. and Faith Johnson Allen. Mr. Allen was a chemist for A.E. Staley Mfg.

retiring in 1973. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge 979, Zohak Grotto and Staley Retirees Club. He married Norine Elizabeth Gillespie in 1936. Surviving are his wife; sons, Dr. Harold B.

Allen of Clinton; Dr. James C. Allen of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Bud (Benita) Spellman of Decatur; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. One daughter and one brother preceded him in death.

DeBcse DECATUR Dorothy O. De-Bose, 72, of Decatur died 7:29 p.m. Monday (March 25, 1991) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. 1 Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services.

Burial will be in Macon County Memo-tai Parlr War. Dorothy DeSose ristown. Mrs. DeBose was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of George and Ethel Redmon Orenshaw. She was formerly employed as manager of the Snackbar at Shopper's World.

She retired from Goodwill Industries in 1981. She will be sadly missed by several good friends, especially the "Wednesday Night" girls. She married Charlie V. DeBose Sr. in 1947.

He died in 1988. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Carol Reber of Cincinnati; Charlie and Sheri DeBose Jr. of Decatur; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Frank Deighan of Key Bis-cayne, Dorothy Bacon and Don Chaney of Mount Zion; sisters, Mary Flanagan of Virginia Beach, Viola Koon of St. Petersburg, Fla. She also leaves several close nephews and nieces in Virginia and Florida; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Burial will be in Mnnnt fli- Royal Stanton lead cemetery. Mr. Stanton was born in Van Wert, Ohio on Jan. 10, 1912, son of Jasper and Ina Stanton. He was retired from the U.S.

Post Office. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Illiopolis Sherrif's Association and National Democratic Committee. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He married Ruth Koehler in 1948.

Surviving are his wife; son, Michael Stanton of Newport News, daughter, Arlene Stanton of New Orleans, La. His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. A story in Monday's Herald Review headlined "Arts Council plans New York trip" incorrectly listed the dates for the trip. The trip is from July 18-21. The newspaper erred.

In an article titled "Stephen F. John," in Monday's Herald Review, John's age was incorrect. The Decatur city councilman is 43 years old. The newspaper erred. The Herald Review strives for accuracy.
