and Letha A. Buzzard Wright. She was a member of Greenland Baptist Church, Beecher City Kluthe Band and Prairieland Pickers of St. Elmo. She loved life and for many years operated the bus ministry and taught the junior class at Greenland Baptist Church.

Her influence in the lives of children she came in contact with is still evident today. After the death of her husband, she loved to play musical instruments and attended many of the music shows in the area. Everyone in that cle will miss her energetic and fun-loving spirit. Her church family will miss her faithfulness, stability and love exhibited for the Lord. She loved singing and playing specials in church.

She married Junior D. Fraily on Jan. 31, 1940. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1987.

Surviving are her sons, Jerry (Alice) Frailey, Robert (Shelia) Frailey and Earl (Nancy) Frailey, all of Beecher City; sisters, Vera Wills and Phyllis Petty, both of Beecher City; sister-in-law, Bernice Wright of Sigel; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Loren; sister, Veda, and one grandchild. He was in sales most of his working life, most recently with Dick Van Dyke Appliance World. Stan enjoyed boating, his motorcycles, a challenging chess game, astronomy, and lively debates about politics. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marlena of Cisco; daughter Kerry Ellis of Decatur; and was beloved "Grampy" to granddaughter Addison. He is also survived by sisters Regina Ellis of Arlington, Texas, Yvonne (Dave) Glover of Decatur, Nancy Upton of Fayetteville, N.C., Jackie Row of Clinton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy E.

Oren was born in Garrett, IL on May 16, 1921. He was the son of Mattie Mae and Oscar Campbell. He worked for 40 years at A.E.

Staley, retiring in 1983. He served in the United States Navy in World War II, from 1943-1946. He married Dorothy McGlade in 1938. They had 4 children, Oren O. "Bud" (June) Campbell, Judith (Carl) Bagley, Terri (Kent) Napierski, and William (Marilyn) Campbell.

He had 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He leaves his long time companion, "Mary who will miss the Die-Hard Cub Fan and love of her life. He leaves brothers: Robert (Carol) Campbell, Paul (Mary Jane) Campbell, Jerry (Mary) Campbell, and Jack (Dorothy) Campbell. He leaves sisters: Janet (Bud) Root and Sue (Robert) Landers. He loved the CUBS, fishing golfing, and was inducted into The Decatur Bowling Hall of Fame in 1988.

He was a member of The Elks Club and The Moose Club of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 great-granddaughter. and Grace (Batts) Cockrum. He married Helen F. Spann on October 10, 1938 in Kentucky. Mr. Cockrum retired from Caterpillar in 1978.

He was a charter member of First Free Will Baptist Church and a member of Caterpillar Retiree's Club. Surviving are his daughters Marilyn Drabing of Decatur, IL, Sharon M. Powel WARRENSBURG Ray Powel, 68, of Warrensburg died 12:18 p.m. Saturday (April 29, 2006) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Joy Assembly Church, Ston-ington, with the Rev. Tim Moats officiat Ami Jimmie Powel boro, passed away at 1:30 a.m.

Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. Letha was born on Octo Letha Brewer ber 12, 1926, in Effingham County, Illinois, to Ora Wade Wharton and Ethel Mae (Higgs) Wharton. She married Robert O. Brewer on June 22, 1947, in Edgewood, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2004. Mrs.

Brewer had been a nurse's aid for many years and then took care of children by babysitting. Her last employment was as an activity director at a nursing home. She dedicated her life to taking care of others. She did a lot of volunteer work, which included a great deal of civic duties in Mason. She helped organize and was a charter member of the Mason Civic Club and the Keenagers in Mason.

Letha was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Effingham and after moving to Murphys-boro, she became a member of Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro. She is survived by three daughters and son in laws, Karen and Terry Having of Murphysboro, Cassie and Richard Worman of Dieterich, IL, and Kristy and John Benline of Effingham, LL; six grandchildren Tracey Overton and her husband Tim Overton of Skiatook, OK, Matt Having and his wife Mindy Having of Billings, MO, Nichole Worman of Dieterich, LL, Tyler Benline, Jason Benline, and Whitney Benline, all of Effingham; two great grandchildren Jordan Overton and Jacelyn Overton, both of Skiatook, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood with Pastors Mark White and Charles Allen officiating and burial at Edgewood Cemetery.

She retired and moved to Harlingen, Texas. She was a member of Horseshoes from the Heart, past president of Houston Garden Club and a friend of the Houston Zoo.

She was an avid gardener and loved to play bridge. She married Marshall N. Crawford. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1995.

Surviving are her son, M. Kent Crawford of Houston; grandchildren, David Lawrence Crawford, Christopher Crawford, Stephanie Crawford and Anna Crawford; sister, Mary V. Mr. Powel was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Brownstown, the son of Hubert and Ruby Bol-yard Powel. He was an Army Veteran and retired from Caterpillar after 36 years. He was a member of Joy Assembly Church where he served as a Deacon.

He was also a coach for Little League and softball teams. He married Sandra K. Wattelet on October 20, 1957, in Stonington.
