Donald Denton DENTON RAMSEY Mr. and Mrs. Donald Denton of rural Ramsey will observe their 50th wedding anniversary at an open reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, in the American Legion in Ramsey.

Mr. Denton and Velma Hill were married Aug. 14, 1946, in Van-dalia. He is retired from Essex International Wire. They are the parents of Connie Fleming, Michael Denton and Mark Denton, all of Ramsey, and Merle Denton of Brownstown.

They have 10 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Dean DEAN DECATUR Mr. and Mrs.

Horace Clay Dean of Decatur will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Dean were married Sept. 14, 1946, in Ottumwa, Iowa.

He is retired from B.F. Goodrich Co. She works part time at Lincolnshire Downtown Apartments and is a homemaker. They are the parents of Constance Mudd of Jacksonville, Janice Willmore of Decatur and Henry Dean of Macon. They have five grandchildren.

Staley Mfg. then joined Caterpillar Inc. in Decatur. Many of Caterpillar's publications had his illustrations. He later transferred to Peoria.

Telethon successful CHAMPAIGN The WCIA Central Illinois portion of the Jerry Lewis Stars Across America Muscular Dystrophy Association Labor Day telethon raised $206,899.

Nationally, more than $49 million was raised during the 21-hour telethon.
