1 1 1 1 Illinois, Friday, January 18, 1952. THE DECATUR REVIEW PAGE SEVENTEEN FROZEN FOOD REMOVED Customers Claim Goods After Monticello Locker Plant Fire Monticello, Jan. 18 (Staff) Employes of the Monticello locker and ice plant resumed the removal of frozen food from lockers at 7 a. m. today.

The locker and ice plant, with the exception of the cold room, was destroyed by fire Thursday morning with loss estimated at about $100,000. Firm employes yesterday ICmoved food from about one-third of the 700 lockers, but fire broke out again carly yesterday evening and the work had to be stopped. A. C. Miller, plant owner, said lent condition but some that the frozen meat was in fruits and vegetables had begun to thaw.

Customers were claiming their goods and taking them to lockers. in the county and to Decatur and Champaign-Urbana. Mr. Miller said that removal of all customer goods would be complete by evening. Mr.
