Decatur, Illinois, Tuesday, March 13, 1984 Page A7 Central Illinois deaths Obitaaries- died 5:5 a.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Strasburg.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Howe Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg. Memorials: Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, or donor's choice. Mr.

Doehring was born in Strasburg, son of Ernest and Anna Doehring. He was a retired farmer, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Strasburg, Strasburg American Legion Post 289 and a World War I veteran. He married Anna Spannagel in 1920. She died in 1962.

Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Charles (Retha) Brehmer of Strasburg; Mrs. Paul (Lona) Wittenberg of Stewardson; sister, Ellen Harrmann of Springfield; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. One brother, one sister and one great-grandchild preceded him in death. Goodman SHELBYVILLE Mrs.

Raymond (Virginia Bethard) Goodman, 62, of Shelbyville, formerly of Joliet and Nokomis, died 8:45 a.m. Sunday (March 11, 1984) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville. Services wUl be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Howe Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Nokomis Cemetery. Mrs. Goodman was born in Jerusalem, Ohio, daughter of Victor and Elf ie Bethard. She was a former employee of a greeting card manufacturing company in Joliet and affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

She married Raymond Goodman in 1952. Surviving are her husband; sons, Gary Harding of Pontiac, Roger Harding of Joliet; Michael Harding of Phoenix, daughter, Karen Brady of Joliet; brothers, Raymond Bethard of Nokomis; Dwight Bethard of Maryville; sisters, Helen Pieper of Nokomis; Maxine Bednar of Joliet; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Hastings CLINTON Benjamin Royal Hastings, 81, of Clinton died 8:30 p.m. Sunday (March 11, 1984) in his home. Services will be 2 p.m.

Thursday in Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with visitation one hour before service time. Burial will be in Garver Cemetery, Oreana. Mr. Hastings was born in Portland, son of Joseph and Anna Belle Hastings. He was a retired Beeman GREENUP Doyle D.

Beeman, 68, of Greenup died 4:57 p.m. Saturday (March 10, 1984) in Fort Myers Community Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bishop Funeral Home, Greenup, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Greenup Cemetery. Mr. Beeman was born in Greenup, son of Earl A. and Violet Beeman. He was a farmer and a World War II veteran.

He married Wanda Roberts in 1967. Surviving are his wife; son, Kenneth of Reno, one grandchild. Bertucci TAYLORVILLE Louis J. "Poot" Bertucci, 81, of Taylorville died 9:23 p.m. Saturday (March 10, 1984) in St.

John's Hospital, Springfield. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m.

Tuesday in Connolly Funeral Home, Taylorville, with 8 p.m. wake service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Blythe CISCO Mrs. Ray (Florence M.

Andes) Blythe, 86, of Cisco died 11 a.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) in her home. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mackey Funeral Home, Monticello, with visitation 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco. Mrs. Blythe was born in Strasburg, daughter of Fred and Creola Andes. She was a charter member of the Piatt County Trailblazers. She married Ray Blythe in 1915.

He died in 1970. Surviving are her sons, Forrest of Bement; Robert of Lovington; Dwight of Cisco; Steve of Palmdale, daughters, Helen Stain and Beverly Floyd, both of Cisco; Doris Jones of Monticello; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren- Two brothers preceded her in death. Cochran CLINTON Mrs. Chester (Thelma Susan Weiss) Cochran, 70, of rural Clinton died 9:15 a.m. Sunday (March 11, 1984) in her home.

Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday in Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Short Circuit Club, Decatur. Doehring STRASBURG Edgar W.

Doehring, 88, of Strasburg Bollhorst of Beardstown; Jane Henderson of Springfield; Clara Reid of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. One infant child, one brother, one sister, one grandchild and one great-grandchild preceded her in death. Smith MODE Howard E. Smith, 82, of Mode died 2:30 p.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) in his home.

Arrangements are incomplete at Lockart Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Wiser SULLIVAN Flossye N. Anderson Wiser of In-dialantic, formerly of Sullivan, died 11:45 p.m. Friday (March 9, 1984) in Home Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Fla. Services will be 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday in McMullin Funeral home, Sullivan, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials: First United Methodist Church, Sullivan, or Moultrie County Cancer Society. Mrs. Wiser was born in Wayne County, daughter of Jabez Jarvis and Doretta Anderson.

She was a retired beautician and a member of First United Methodist Church, Sullivan. Surviving are her brother, W. L. Anderson of Windsor; sisters, Voyna Albers of Sullivan; Cynthia Trotter of Rockford; Chloe Walters of Marianna, Laura Chase of Bell Rive. Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Woodfall CASEY Jerry Woodfall, 53, of Casey died about 2 p.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) near Flat Rock. Arrangements are incomplete at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey. Mr. Woodfall was born in Coles County, son of Jack and Mary Cox Woodfall.

He was an employee of Drilling company, Casey. He married Irene Granger Adams. Surviving are his wife; son, Allan of U. S. Air Force, Minot, N.

daughters, Vicky Woodfall and Connie Padrick, both of Casey; mother of Charleston; brothers, Charles of Evergreen Park; Joe of Cicero; sister, Martha Fallucca of Orlando, five grandchildren. Worman DIETERICH Allie J. Worman, 78, of rural Dieter-ich died 4 p.m. Sunday (March 11, 1984) in his home. Services will be 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, rural Dieterich. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with 7:30 p.m. rosary.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Worman was born in Effingham County, son of Henry and Mary Worman. He was a retired farmer, a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and St.

Joseph's Men's Sodality. He married Edna Nosbisch in 1940. Surviving are his wife; sons, Leonard, Richard and Adolph, all of rural Dieterich; daughters, Mrs. Dick (Mary) Behl of Effingham; Barbara Worman of Effingham; brother, Henry of rural Dieterich; 10 grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.

Service change Frede Services for Joe Adam Frede, 81, of Keyesport will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in Ripperdan-Schildknecht Funeral Home, Mulberry Grove, with visitation after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Surviving is his brother, James J. of Moweaqua.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Larldn CASEY Paul Larkin, 64, of Casey died about 9 a.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) at his place of employment near Westfield. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, with visitation 4 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday. Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, with graveside military rites. Mr. Larkin was born in Illinois, son of Otis and Tillie Larkin. He was an oil field pumper for the Paul E.

Young Oil Company, near Westfield and a member of Casey VFW Post 5762. He married Freda Strieker in 1946. Surviving are his wife; sons, Paul Jr. of Dawson, Kevin of Casey; daughter, Tamera Bonnell of Flora; stepdaughter, Sandra Laughlin of Terre Haute, brother, James of Casey, sister, Uene LeClaire of. Fort Wayne, two grandchildren.

x. Martin NOBLE Mrs. Harry (Ella Bradley) Martin, 83, of Noble died 6 p.m. Sunday (March 11, 1984) in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Summers Funeral Home, Olney, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Claremont. Mrs. Martin was born in Fairfield, daughter of John and Martha Bradley. She was a shoe factory employee and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Olney.

She married Harry Martin in 1921. He preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons, Robert Donald J. and John all of Noble; Richard O. of Shannon; Billy D.

of Herscher; Franklin D. of Kansas City, 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. One son preceded her in death. Osteen ALTAMONT Mrs. Delbert (Ella Naomi Austin) Osteen, 85, of Altamont died Sunday (March 11, 1984) in St.

Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Salem Methodist Church, rural Altamont. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kull Funeral Home, Altamont.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials: Salem Methodist Church. Mrs. Osteen was born in rural Effingham County, daughter of William Harvey and Mary Jane Austin. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church.

She married Delbert Osteen in 1921. He died in 1968. Surviving are her son, Otha O. of Altamont; daughter, Mary Eugenia Hooks of Mason; brother, Harvey Austin of Watson; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren five great-stepgrandchildren. One son, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Powell TAYLORVILLE Mrs. Charles (G. Lorena Huddles-ton) Powell, 89, of Taylorville died 12:55 a.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) in Taylorville Care Center. Services will be 3 p.m.

Wednesday in Connolly Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be Thursday in Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Tenn. Memorials: First Baptist Church, Taylorville. Mrs. Powell was born in west Tennessee, daughter of Fred and Ida Jane Huddleston.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Taylorville. She married Charles Powell in 1911. He died in 1956. Surviving is her sister, Cora Evans of Memphis, Tenn. Schackel VILLA GROVE William A.

Schackel of Villa Grove died Monday (March 12, 1984) in Burnham Hospital, Champaign. Arrangements are incomplete at Joines Funeral Home, Villa Grove. Schaper NOKOMIST Mrs. Fred (Marie E. Lebkuecher) Schaper, 84, of Nokomis died 10:40 a.m.

Sunday (March 11, 1984) in Hillsboro Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Nokomis. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Mrs. Schaper was born in Beardstown, daughter of Charles and Lydia Lebkuecher. She was a retired Illinois Department of Revenue employee and a member of St.

Mark's Lutheran Church. She married Fred Curry. She married Fred Schaper in 1949. He died in 1977. Surviving are her son, Fred Curry of Rushville; stepdaughters, Mrs.

He died in 1944. Surviving are her son, Harry of Decatur; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren. One daughter and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Sanders John R. Sanders, 79, of 705 S.

17th St. died 8:32 a.m. Sunday (March 11, 1984) in Americana Healthcare Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m.

Thursday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials Faith Baptist Church of South Shores. Mr. Sanders was born in Sullivan County, son of Lawrence and Laura May Sanders.

He was a retired tower operator at A. E. Staley Manufacturing a member of Staley Fellowship Club, Faith Baptist Church of South Shoresand the Golden Agers Club of the church. He married Violet Mitchell. She died in 1967.

He married Clara Dash Dudley in 1970. Surviving are his wife; son, John R. Jr. of Tempe, daughter, Mrs. Carl (Anna Vaughan of Mount Auburn; stepson, Duane Dudley of Decatur; stepdaughter, Sharon Britton of Mount Zion; brothers, Frank of Los Angeles, Jefferson of San Diego, sisters, Hetty Lyster of Inyokern, Hazel Strevall of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Borcherding Harold O. Borcherding of 66 Eastmoreland Place died 4:50 p.m. Monday (March 12, 1984) in St. Mary's Hospital.

Mr. Christian was born in Mentone, son of Charles and Agnes Christian. He was the founder and manager of Midland Machine Company. He married Doris Shuman in 1934. She died in 1972.

Surviving are his son, Charles W. of Decatur; daugh- ter, Mrs. Dennis (Patricia) Punches of Decatur; brother, Chester of Bourbon, sisters, Ruby Stackhouse of Etna Green, Nellie Zent of Rochester, two grandchildren. Conklin Ralph C. Conklin, 87, of 1073 S.

Conklin was born in Decatur, son of Guy and Mayetta Conklin. He was a retired accountant at Conklin Bakery, a member of First United Methodist Church and a U. S. Army veteran. He married Alice Hinton in 1918.

Surviving are his wife; son, Eugene C. of Woodland Hills, two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. Lehman Walter C. "Sam" Lehman, 69, of 4 Woodland Drive, died 1:42 p.m.
