DECATUR SUNDAY HERALD AND REVIEW SOCIETY 25 Voters League Groups Meet three groups of the newly organized Macon county chapter of the Illinois League of Women Voters will discuss the MacMahon bill for control of atomic energy. at forthcoming meetings. Any member may attend any meeting. One group meets in the morning.

Knuth leading discussion. Miss Blossom Redmon. the League's president, will go to Kansas City on April 30 for the national convention, and to Winnetka on May 23 for the state convention. The League, just organized in this country, has met with instant response from Macon women. Inquiries about membership come in daily, and membership is open to any woman who wants to join.

The League has three study groups, and the entire membership will meet several times a year. Dorothy Ellen Sims of Bethany Is Bride Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sims of Bethany announce the marriage of their daughter Dorothy Ellen and Forrest Elmo Christy, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Forrest Christy of Lodi. Cal. The ceremony was in the post chapel of William Beaumont general hospital at El Paso, with Chaplain J. Pugh officiating. Decorations at the altar were Easter lilies and palms.

The bride wore a light blue suit with white accessories and carried a white prayerbook with an orchid. Dr. T. W. Maddox of El gave her away.

Attendants Miss MonPaso, ette Cox of Lamesa, and H. O. Rose of El Paso. A reception followed in the Cortez hotel. The bride is a graduate of West Suburban hospital school of nurs-11 ing in Oak Park, and joined the Army Nurses Corps in 1945.

She has been at the Beaumont hospital for a year. Mr. Christy was released from the army recently and is employed in El Paso, where they will live. Triangle Club To Have Luncheon Triangle club for mothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon members will have a dessert luncheon Wednesday at p. m.

Hats will be judged and the prize winning ones will be displayed in the window of Emerson piano house on the following Monday and Tuesday.

FRANCIS ROGIER Francis Rogier, Millikin voice graduate, is on his way home from service in Europe. and expects to return about June 1 to London to join the Clynbourne Opera company. Francis Rogier Joins Glynbourne Opera in London Francis Rogier, graduate of Millikin Conservatory of Music, who has been in service for four years, is on his way home from England for discharge, and will visit for awhile with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

F. J. Rogier, South Side Country club. Then he will return to London where he has a contract with the Glynbourne Opera company, to take part in a new opera by Benjamin Britton. It will be given this summer in England, and possibly will be taken to the continent later.

Britton is a young English composer whose earlier opera, "Peter Grimes." met instant favor. Excerpts and solos from it are heard frequently on U. S. radio programs. Glynbourne is famous for its Mozart Festivals and many famous singers have been heard there.

Mr. Rogier was a voice pupil of the late Grant Hadley at Millikin, and later studied two years at Juilliard Graduate school in New York. He was with Chautauqua Opera in the sumer of 1942, and entered service that fall. E. Kenney, former Macon county abstractor, was overseas 25 months with a medical unit of General Patton's 3d army, and wears four battle stars. His bride was a member of the criminal investigation division of the Staffordshire police. and served in the Women's Auxiliary Police Force. They will live with his mother for the time being.
