EMILY ANN KIRK, daughter of John and Karole Kirk of Decatur, has been awarded a Singletary Scholarship to attend the University of Kentucky, Lexington, where she plans to be a pre-law major. The scholarship is the largest individual merit scholarship awarded to university freshmen. The scholarship valued at $16,400 covers tuition, room and board, books and other expenses for four years.
