HART'S ORCHESTRA PLAYS AT SANATORIUM Thomas Wilkinson Also Appears on Tuesday Evening Program Hart's orchestra will give a program Tuesday evening at the tuberculosis sanatorium for the patients' weekly entertainment. An orchestra has proved a popular means of entertainment for the group, according to the women of the Hospital Service League, who arrange the programs. Thomas Wilkinson, pupil of Mrs. Leo Hayes, will give two groups of songs in addition to the orchestra program. Mr.

and Mrs. Malcolm Wood have returned from Mears, where they are directors of Floradale resort, and will pass the winter in 1202 North Main street. Mr. Wood reports one of the best seasong of his experience, with more Decatur guests than usual. Dr.

Music and dancing were enjoyed during the evening. Argenta Home Bureau Meets With Mrs. Parr Argenta Home Bureau unit met with Mrs. George Parr Rriday. Thirteen members heard Miss Bounabell Fullmer give the November lesson.

Mrs. C. C. Greenfield read a paper on, "The Value of a Smile," Members voted to give $5.00 club dues. and one woman signed to enter the unit.

She now is resting well in St. Mary's hospital, but probably will not be able to cook the Thanksgiving dinner. new will not be completed by the New Year. The driveway is being made now before freezing weather arrives, so that the winter's supply of coal may be stored soon. When the woodwork of the house is in most of the finishing touches will be completed, but this work has not been started yet.

Paving in front of the house now is compiete so that the front door may be used again to hasten work. One new boy came to the home last week, making the total now 35. Of this group one is 15 vears old and another 13 years old. All of the others are under 11. The regular board meeting will be held sometime this week.

Mrs. Ralph T. Roney entertained the tenchers of E. A. Gastman school at a tea in her home Saturday afternoon from 4 to 6 o'clock.

LEO HALL Announcement is made of the marriage in Springfield on Nov. 6 of Miss Brenta McClanahan and Leo Hall, both of Decatur. The ceremony took place in the Presbyterian church parsonage in Springfield, and dinner in the home of the bride's parents in Decatur, followed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

DELTA DELTA DELTA 'OBSERVES FOUNDERS DAY ON SATURDAY Eighty members of Delta Delta Delta sorority observed the anniversary of the founding of the sorority at 3 banquet in the Decatur club Saturday. Miss Mildred Burke read the national president's message and Mrs. Joseph Gauger told the story of the founding.

Several solos were sung, and there was group singing. George Rodger was toastmistress. Mrs. Stanley Broughton, general, chairman. and her committee made the banquet a birthday party.

A birthday cake was cut by Mrs. J. A. Melrose, member of the Syracuse, chapter for 25 years. Miss Ellen Melrose, her daughter, is the first pledge of a Tri-Delta mother for the Decatur chapter.

The group went to the chapter house after the birthday dinner. Out of town gueste were Leah Fullenwider of Champaign, Mrs. Flint Home Bureau Has Three Meetings for This Week County Women Have Not Planned Heavy Program for Thanksgiving Three unit meetings and one apecial unit program are the only events for the Home Bureau calendar this week. Thanksgiving activities are taking the time of the women. The Home Bureau office will be closed Thursday, and none of the women have made meeting plans for the day.

Monday West Side unit will meet with Mrs. D. D. Campbell, 1304 North Monroe street, at 2 o'clock. A bustness meeting will be followed by the lesson, "Objectives of Home Management" by Miss Bonnabell Fullmer, county adyisor, a and recreation led by Mrs.

Robert Dickinson. Roll call will be answered Monday by auggestions for Thanksgiving. Oakley unit will meet at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday in the home of Mrs. Minnie Clark, Mrs. Marie Holcomb assistant hostess.

Thanksgiving quotations will be used for roll call answer, and Miss Fullmer will give the November lesson. Miss Edith Eller will give a Thanksgiving reading. and Mrs. Myrtle Kreig and Mrs. Opal Haynes will lead recreation.

The new unit which is being organized and for the present is calling itself the Oak Grove unit, will meet Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock in the home of Mrs. Frank Aull, 1700 block West Grand avenue road. Furnish Church Program Wednesday Long Creek unit women will give a mattress sketch for the ladies' aid of Seventh Street Christian church. Miss Bonnabell Fullmer also will attend and tell about 4-H club and Home Bureau work. This is the second time recently that this group has been asked to furnish a program at the church.
