31 (AP) Italian Count Giorgio Cini was killed today as his private plane crashed in circling back low after takeoff so he could wave goodbye to Actress Merle Oberon. The movie star, who had seen him off on a flight to Venice) wit nessed the crash and fainted. When revived she said: "My life is finished. There's no point in going on." THE 31-YEAR-OLD count was president of a company owning hotels in Italy, including the Lido in Venice and the Excelsior in Rome. Killed with him in his twin-en-fine Cessna was his pilot, Giorgio Giardello, 26, who was burned in the plane.

Count Cini's body was thrown some distance away. Sportsmen's Club Maps Drive for More Funds The Macon county Sportsmen's club has begun a campaign for $25,000 to complete its building program at the club grounds in Big Creek park. According to Harry Faris, club director, the fund drive got under way at a meeting of the board of directors in the new Sportsmen's clubhouse Tuesday evening. The money will be obtained through contributions and by selling life-time memberships in the club at $50 each, Mr. Faris said. He explained that the money is needed in order to make final payments on construction work already completed, and to help finance the building of some new facilities on the club grounds.

3 Hurt in Headon Auto Crash Near Mt. Pulaski Lincoln, Aug. 31 (Staff) Three out-of-state persons were injured in a two-car crash at 11:30 m. today on highway 121 near the viaduct south of Mount Pu laski. The injured were taken to Deaconess hospital here.

Eleanor Stewart of.Patako, a school teacher, received a lacerated lower lip. fractured nose and arm and leg abrasions. Mr. and Mrs. James H.

Irvine of Fort Lauderdalev both received face lacerations. Mrs. Irvine also received a bruised left shoulder and an ankle sprain. Witnesses said that the car driv en by Miss Stewart swerved into the path of the oncoming Irvine Car. Both cars were badly damaged.

Masonic Home Addition May Be Ready Nov. 1 Sullivan, Aug. 31 (Staff) Work is progressing on the addition being built to the Illinois Masonic home, with a possibility of its being in use by Nov. 1. Work on the project was begun early last spring but was delayed by labor trouble.

Pickets were on the job for several weeks, but since their removal the sidewalls and roof have been completed and work on the interior of the building is going on. The new wing will house the chapel for the home and nurses quarters. There are at present 10 nurses employed in the home hospital. The wing, now used for nurses quarters will be used to enlarge the hospital. Querfeld Readmitted To Clinton Hospital Clinton, Aug.
