Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio. Shaw Mrs. Thomas (Goldie Ray Young) Shaw, 82, of Mattoon died 6 a.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in her home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Schilling's Funeral Home, Mattoon, with visitation 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon. Mrs.

Shaw was born in Caneyville, daughter of Thompton and Kathleen Young. She was a seamstress for Mattoon Garment and a member of the Baptist Church. She married Thomas Shaw in 1918. Surviving are her husband; son, Joel C. of Mattoon; daughters, Mrs.

John (Dorothy) Stoltenberg and Juanita Wilson, both of Mattoon; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Six brothers and eight sisters preceded her in death. Sidwell Mrs. Danny (Deedra J. "Dee Dee" Snow) Sidwell, 25, of Pocahontas died 7:05 p.m.

Saturday (July 11, 1981) in Utlaut Memorial Hospital, Greenville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church, Greenville. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Dewey-Schildknecht Funeral Home, Greenville.

Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery, Pocahontas. Memorials: Donor's choice. Mrs. Sidwell was born in Fayette County, daughter of James Snow and N. Jean (Atwood) Funderburk.

She was an assistant manager for Powhattan Restaurant, Pocahontas, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Pool League of Clinton County and Pocahontas Softball League. She married Danny Sidwell in 1981. Surviving are her husband; stepson, Daniel W. of Greenville; father of Greenville; mother of Pocahontas; stepfather, Tom Funderburk of Pocahontas; brother, James M. Snow of Greenville; sisters, Mrs.

Earl (Deborah) McCormick of Greenville; Mrs. Randall (Carol) Weiss of Flora; stepbrothers, Thomas R. and William T. Funderburk, both of Pocahontas; grandmother, Genevieve Hood of Van-dalia; grandfather, Earl Atwood of Iola, Kan. Wheeler Carl Wheeler, 62, of Charleston died 3:30 a.m.

Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Danville Veterans Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Schilling's Funeral Home, Mattoon, with visitation from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in French Cemetery, Allenville.

Mr. Wheeler was born in Allenville, son of Charles and Dora (Greer) Wheeler. He was a machinist and a World War II veteran. Surviving are his wife, Thelma; daughters, Dora Wheeler and Carta Ashmore, both of Charleston; Mary Ellen Bonwell of Peoria; mother, of Lexington, stepsons, Chuck Scott of Areola; stepdaughter, Thelma Bowen of Mattoon; sister, Sarah Cater of Lexington, four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren. Four brothers preceded him in death.

Witt William F. Witt, 82, of Monticello died 2:50 p.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Kirby Monticello. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home.

Pana man dies leaving 109 survivors Levert Waters, 86, of Pana died 9:35 a.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Pana. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in McCracken Funeral Home, Pana, with visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Mr. Waters was born in Findlay, son of John and Eva Waters. He was a retired farmer. He married Mamie Taylor in 1917.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Gene of Assumption; Robert of Sullivan; daughters, Ber-nice Dixon, Delores Sphar, Lucille Christian, Betty Endris, all of Pana; Joan Hoehn of Aurora; Lula Belle Waters of Tolono; Rowena Mae McArdle of Taylorville; sisters, Anna Neiman of Pana; Olga Moomey of Owaneco; 40 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren. One son and one sister preceded him in death. son of Edward and Belle McFarland. He was an oil producer in Martinsville. He married Undine Hess in 1918.

Surviving are his wife; daughter, Letha Belle Romines of Martinsville; half brother, Kenneth McFarland of Chicago; half sister, Nellie Lenex of Napa, two grandchildren. One son preceded him in death. Miller Mrs. Ralph (Nellie Roney) Miller, 84, of 01-ney died noon Saturday (July 11, 1981) in Bur-gin Manor, Olney. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday in Summers Funeral Home, Olney, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Clare-mont. Mrs. Miller was born in Sullivan, daughter of Hugh and Josephine Roney.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Olney. She married Ralph Miller in 1921. He died in 1967. Surviving are her sons, Robert and William, both of Olney; Gerald of Terre Haute, George of Grand Forks, N.D. brother, Harold Roney of San Antonio, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

One son and two brothers preceded her in death. Newhouse Wendell M. Newhouse, 56, of Lincoln died 3:30 p.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lincoln Christian Church, with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Holland Barry Funeral Home, Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials: Heart Fund or American Cancer Society. He was born in Sesser, son of Charles and Mabel Newhouse.

He was a jeweler in Lincoln, a World War II Air Force veteran, a member of the Lincoln American Legion, past president and district governor of the Central Illinois Kiwanis, former Lincoln United Way board member and former Lincoln school board member. He married Margaret Shone-wise in 1946. Surviving are his wife; son, Mark and daughter, Cindy Huddlestun, both of Lincoln; brother, Kenneth of Amarillo, Texas; sisters, Erma Newton of Lincoln; Edna Brown of Mount Pulaski. Ransford Mrs. Oral (Dora Harmon) Ransford, 93, of Tucson, formerly of Newton, died 8:15 a.m.

Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Florence Nursing Home, Florence, Ariz. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton. Mrs. Ransford was born in Jasper County, daughter of William and Josephine Harmon. She was a member of St.

Margaret's Catholic Church, Tucson, Ariz. She married Oral Ransford. He died in 1966. Surviving are her daughter, Bernadine Reynolds of Mamouth, sister, Ruth Hoe-cherl of Ste. Marie; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Rhoads Richard B. Rhoads, 25, of Morrisonville died 5:30 p.m. Saturday (July 11, 1981) in his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St.

Maurice Catholic Church, Morrisonville. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in Fish-burn-Hough Funeral Home, Morrisonville, with a 7:30 p.m. wake service Monday. Burial will be in St.

Maurice Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Morrisonville Ambulance Fund or Mental Health. Mr. Rhoads was born in Taylorville, son of Bernard and Mary Jane (Kinney) Rhoads. He was a clerk for the Department of Revenue, Springfield, a member of St.

Maurice Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus 1151, Morrisonville. Surviving are his mother, of Morrisonville; brother, Jack of Morrisonville; sisters, Barbara Cole of St. Charles, Terry Haare of Louisville, Ky. grandmother, Anna Kinney of Morrisonville. Ruddock Mrs.

Hugh (Metta E. Wooden) Ruddock, 95, of Arthur, formerly of rural Hammond, died 2:05 p.m. Saturday (July 11, 1981) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Funeral services will be 11 a.m.

Tuesday in Born Funeral Home, Atwood, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Hammond Cemetery. Mrs. Ruddock was born in Calhoun, daughter of Francis and Pamelia Wooden.

She was a member of Hammond United Methodist Church. She married Hugh Ruddock in 1906. He died in 1962. Surviving are her son, Raymond of Sun City, daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Pauline) Bobbin of Hammond; Mrs.

James (Thelma) Carter of Decatur; brother, Ralph Wooden of Arnold James L. Arnold, 69, of Watson died 4:15 a.m. Saturday (July 11, 1981) in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.

Tuesday in Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, with visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Loy Cemetery, south of Effingham. Memorials: Loy United Methodist Church. Mr.

Arnold was born in Effingham County, son of Barlett and Josephine Arnold. He was a retired farmer and state employee for the Department of Transportation, a member of Loy United Methodist Church and a Committeeman for Watson Township. He married Glenna Oder in 1930. She died in 1978. Surviving are his sons, James L.

Jr. of Atlanta, Jack L. and Robert both of Watson; Thomas "Bill" of Effingham; daughters, Mrs. James (Barbara) Harrison and Mrs. Robert (Vickie) Rieman, both of Effingham; Deloris.J.

Bradley of Bossier City, 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Davidson David Carl Davidson, 82, of Assumption died 6 a.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sherwood-Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m.

Monday. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials: First United Methodist Church, Assumption or Heart Fund. Mr. Davidson was born in Mount Zion, son of Ira and Gertrude Davidson.

He was a retired farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church and Brownwell Lodge 451 He married Florence Pierce. She died in 1961. He married Alma McGrath in 1962. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Jeane) Schmidt of Greenville; sister, Mrs.

Clarence (Margaret) Miller of Merrit Island, one grandchild; one great-grandchild. One son and two brothers preceded him in death. Han ley Mrs. Alva C. (Chloral E.

Johns) Hanley, 81, of Charleston died 2:15 p.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Coles County. Funeral arrangements are incomplete in Harper-Swickard Funeral Home, Charleston. She was born in Coles County, daughter of Jacob and Ermina Johns. She was a member of Mount Zion Separate Church, Charleston, and Mount Tabor Ladies Aid, Charleston.

She married Alva C. Hanley in 1933. He died in 1968. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth J. of Sioux City, Iowa; Paul H.

of Mattoon; daughters, Mrs. Larry (Wilma) Cutright of Greenup; Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Juriga of Charleston; eight grandchildren. One sister preceded her in death. Jett Mrs.

Calvin (Lenora B. Reeves) Jett, 91, of Greenville died 8:45 p.m. Saturday (July 11, 1981) in Hillview Manor Nursing Home, Greenville. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation after 4 p.m.

Monday. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Greenville. Mrs. Jett was born in Bond County, daughter of William and Rachel Reeves. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First Christian Church.

She married Calvin Jett in 1913. He died in 1959. One son, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Kusterer Raymond "Banty" Kusterer, 81, of Mount Pulaski died 1:25 p.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Vonderlieth Living Center, Mount Pulaski.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete in Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski. Mr. Kusterer was born in Illiopolis, son of Samuel and Fannie Kusterer. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mount Pulaski.

He married Hazel Crosier in 1926. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Laura Frances LaMaster of Moline; one grandchild. One daughter and two sisters preceded him in death. McFarland Russell Leland McFarland, 82, of Martinsville died 6:30 p.m. Saturday (July 11, 1981) in his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, with visitation after 3 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville. Memorials: Cancer Society.

He married Margarette F. Mason in 1930. Surviving are his wife; son, Donald D. of Warrensburg; daughter, Mrs. Frank (Patricia) Lubbers Jr.

of Cisco; brother, August of Blue Mound; sisters, Esther Neal and Mildred LeFever, both of Taylorville. One sister preceded him in death. Shelton Estell A. "Chick" Shelton, 57, of Long Creek died 8:56 p.m. Friday (July 10, 1981) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger's Pershing Funeral Home, with visitation after 6 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. Mr.

Shelton was born in Athens, son of Aaron E. and Pearl I. Shelton. He was a retired sheet metal worker, former employee of King-Lar member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 84, American Legion Post 105, VFW Post 99 and DAV Post 17. He married Ruth Yoakum in 1942.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Michael A. of Bement; Patrick Timothy David C. and Bryan all of Decatur; James A. and Steven both at home; daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Beverly Sue) Rosa, Mrs.

Actor Brasselle dies HOLLYWOOD (AP) Keefe Brasselle, best known for his leading role in "The Eddie Cantor Story," is dead at the age of 58. Brasselle, whose erratic entertainment career was matched by stormy off-screen episodes, had been hospitalized several times over the last few years for treatment of a progressive liver ailment. Brasselle had roles in a string of minor films, dabbled in TV production and published a controversial novel, "The Cannibals," about film and television industry intrigue. He made headlines in 1956 when he became embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with his first wife, Norma, after 14 years of marriage.

In 1972 he was convicted of shooting and wounding a man during an argument involving his second wife at a restaurant in Studio City, north of Los Angeles. i Hoffhein Ralph Hoffhein, 80, of Indianapolis, formerly of Decatur, died 4:40 a.m. Saturday (July 11, 1981) in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Bethany Lutheran Church, Indianapolis.

G. H. Hermann Funeral Home, Indianapolis, is in charge. Memorials: Bethany Lutheran Church. Mr.

Hoffhein was born in Decatur, son of Otis W. and Bertha Hoffhein. He was a retired owner of the Indianapolis Oil Equipment Co. and worked for many years at Leader Iron Works Co. in Decatur.

He married Marjorie Byroad in 1928. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Patricia Blocker and Joyce Hoffhein, both of Indianapolis; sisters. Vera Lowen and Mary Noll, both of Decatur. Prasun Lloyd A. Prasun, 75, of 4240 E.

Glenwood Ave. died 4:25 a.m. Sunday (July 12, 1981) in Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, with visitation one hour before services.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Mr. Prasun was born in Edinburg, son of Henry and Ida Prasun.
