27-Austin Bleedlove went to his farm Friday morning and later was found dead. It is supposed that heart failure was the cause. He was married twice and is survived by his- last wife and one son of the former marriage. He was 60 years old. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Sept. John Wesley Hill addressed the citizens of this place Monday morning on the political Issues of the day. The Woman's Missionary Circle of the Baptist church met in the home of Mrs. George W. Traxler Friday afternoon and a feature of the meeting was the opening of the mite boxes.

Refreshments were served and a program given. Revival meetings continue in the Baptist church. The local pastor, Rev. H. F.

Day, is conducting the services this week. The evangelist and singer have gone to Benson to conduct a revival. New concrete walk is being laid west of the Baptist church and Miss Bertha Mitchell's property: also in front of the Bodamer's residence. The themes for Sunday morning and evening at the Methodist church are "A Fresh Start Toward Christ," and Helping Hand." Miss Vola Lewis will lead the Epworth League Sunday evening and the theme is "The Supreme Test of a High Rev. and Mrs.

E. K. Crews have returned from a visit in Virginia, with the former's father. Mrs. Minnie Brown returned home Thursday from Mattoon, where she visited her sister, Mrs.

G. C. Warren. Miss Jennie Strickler of Lovington visited with friends here Tuesday. Miss Bertha Reichardt of Marietta, 0., is visiting with George O.

The revival meeting in Blue Mound chapel are largely attended and good interest is manifested. Mrs. Shively, the evangelist, is gaining in favor with her congregation. She will preach Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and at night. The theme for the morning sermon will be "'The Spirit Filled Life." The pastor well pleased with the progress of the meeting.

The Elwin Sunday school will hold a rally next Sunday. Besides the regular session at 9:30 a. m. there will be a special proat 10:30 a. m.
