Wednesday (March 2, 1988) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Immaculate Conception Church, Mattoon. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Schilling's Funeral Home, Mattoon, with 7:30 p.m.

wake service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mattoon. Mr. Laughlin was born in Mattoon, son of W. Neil and Ruth Laughlin.

He was owner and operator of Laughlin Sons Feed Seed Co. and later established Laughlin Son Heating Air Conditioning. He later worked for the State of Illinois Mental Health Department, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, charter member of Knights of Columbus, former member of Elks Lodge, Notre Dame Club of Illinois and Retired State Employees Association. He married Mar-jorie Fitzgerald in 1941. Suviving are his wife; sons, Michael J.

of Westport, John N. of Louisville, Bernard J. of Mattoon; daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ann) Warner of Decatur; Mrs. Tim (Patricia) Whalin of Mattoon; 11 grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death. Home, Monticello, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with Masonic services at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo. Memorials: United Methodist Church or Illinois Sheriff's Association.

Mr. Peck was born in Monticello, son of Otto and Mary Peck. He was a retired Piatt County Sheriff, -former Texaco service station operator and retired security guard for Adler Security Mental Health Center, Champaign. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Monticello Masonic Lodge 58, Bloomington Consistory, Ansar Shrine Temple of Springfield, Piatt County Sportsman's Club and Odd Fellow Lodge 403. He married Freda M.

Capps in 1969. Surviving are his wife; son, Donald E. of Roodhouse: stepson, Jack Downey of Rantoul; sisters, Sylvia "Sib" Higgins of Champaign; Helen Manges of Sterling; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren. Rogers NEWTON Lindell Rogers, 71, of Newton died 2 p.m. Monday (Feb.

Mr. Kortte was born in Dieterich, son of Frank and Kathryn Kortte. He was a farmer, member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Men's Fidality and Knights of Columbus of Teutopolis. Surviving are his brothers, Frank and Henry, both of Effingham; sisters, Veronica Hartl of LaGrange; Mrs.

Henry (Helen) Haarmann of Effingham; Mrs. Clem (Katie) Wesselman and Mrs. Joseph (Betty) Runze, both of Teutopolis; sister-in-law with whom he lived, Catherine Kortte of rural Dieterich. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Lake PARKERSBURG Mary E.

Barche Lake, 66, of Parkersburg died 8:40 p.m. Tuesday (March 1, 1988) in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Summers Funeral Home, Olney, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Mrs. Lake was born in Aurora, daughter of Jacob and Edith Barche. She was a member of United Brethren Church, Durbin TAYLORVILLE Rod Elliot Durbin, 18, of Taylorville died 5:45 p.m. Tuesday (March 1, 1988) in his home.

Services will be 1 jn. Friday in Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Palmer. Mr.

Durbin was born in Elk Grove Village, son of Gerald E. and Carol A. Radcimanousky Durbin. He was a mechanic at Classic Carriages. Surviving are his father of rural Pawnee; brother, Troy E.

of Louisiana; sister, Lena Hawthorne of Taylorville. Gasaway MOUNT PULASKI Edward "Dale" Gasaway, 87, of Mount Pulaski died 8:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 2, 1988) in St. Clara's Manor, Lincoln. Services will be 1:30 p.m.

Friday in Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials: Mount Pulaski St. John's Lutheran Church. Mr.

Gasaway was born in Latham, son of Levi and Mattie Gasaway. He was a signal maintainer for the Illinois Central and Chicago Western Indiana Railroad and member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He married Valentine De-Wulf. She died in 1973.

Surviving are his brother, Roy of Mount Pulaski; sister, Mrs. Raymond (Verna) Ayers of Mount Pulaski. Kortte DIETERICH John H. Kortte, 81, of rural Dieterich died 5:10 four great-grandchildren. One sister preceded her in death.

Brown TAYLORVTLLE Mrs. Harry (Bernita Lillian Mase) Brown, 75, of Taylorville died 8:20 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 28, 1988) in St. Vincent Hospital, Taylorville.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Mrs. Brown was born in Beardstown, daughter of Bert E.

and Anna Mase. She was a member of Church of Latter Day Saints. She married Harry Brown in 1930. He died in 1968. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Spinner of Cedar Park, Texas; brother, Wilbur Mase of El Cajon, five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

One sister preceded her in death. DeClerck TAYLORVILLE Dorothy I. Dunbar DeClerck, 70, of Taylorville died 11:35 p.m. Tuesday (March 1, 1988) in St Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Services will be 2 p.m.

Friday in Connolly-McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Mrs. DeClerck was born in Taylorville, daughter of Roy and Hazel Dunbar.

She had worked at the Wal-Mart Store, Taylorville, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Taylorville. Surviving are her son, Wayne of Richardson, Texas; two grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death. Beatty PARIS Lloyd Beatty, 91, of Paris died 12:56 p.m. Tuesday (March 1, 1988) in Decatur Memorial Hospital Services will be 3 p.m.

Friday in Stewart Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, with visitation after 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery, Paris. Mr. Beatty was born in Paris, son of Owen H.

and Sally A. Beatty. He was a retired farmer, a member of First Christian Church of Paris, Edgar County Farm Bureau and a former Farm Adviser. His wife, Lucille, preceded him in death. Surviving are his sons, Robert 0.

of Mechanicsburg; Charles L. of Minneapolis, daughters, Freda Ellen Preihs of Culpepper, Barbara Ann Royer of Decatur; sister, Pauline TenEyke of Sun City, nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Boyd HILLSBORO Mrs. Ralph E. (Myrtle Knox) Boyd, 89, of Hills-boro died 5:55 a.m.

Wednesday (March 2, 1988) in Barry Care Center, Litchfield. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bass Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Coal City, daughter of David and Olive Knox. She had worked at the Glass Bottle Mfg. Hillsboro. She married Ralph Ellis Boyd in 1919.

He died in 1964. Surviving are her sons, Harold of Kirkwood, Jesse of Kenosha, daughter, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Guth of North Fort Myers, half sister, Jeanette Curley of York, five grandchildren; Shull GREENUP Mrs. Roy (Chloe S. Green) Shull, 97, of Greenup died 6 p.m.

Tuesday (March 1, 1988) in Mattoon Health Care Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Bishop Funeral Home, Greenup, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Greenup Cemetery. Mrs.

Shull was born in Cumber-; land County, daughter of Charles and Mary Green. She married Roy Shull in 1909. He died in 1974. Surviving are her son, Burl of Greenup; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. One son, two sisters and two great-great-grandchildren preceded her in death.

Whitaker EFFINGHAM George S. Whitaker, 79, of Effingham died 1: 45 p.m. Wednesday (March 1988) in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Arrangements are incomplete at Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home, Neoga.

Memorials: First Baptist Church of Pana. Mr. Low was born in Oconee, son of Joel and Leydia Low. He was a retired farmer, member of Christian County Farm Bureau, Kerr-Mize American Legion Post and an Army veteran of World War I. He married Mollie Osborn in 1917.

She died in 1981. Surviving are his daughters, Marie Hunter of Pana; Gertrude Snipe of Lincoln, brothers, Lester K. of Tucson, David of Carbondale; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Peck MONTICELLO Harold E. Peck, 81, of Monticello died 8 a.m.

She was a member of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Thrift Shop. She married Clarence Wiegand in 1939. Surviving are her husband; sons, Gayle of Kennesaw, Dave and Rod, both of Mount Zion; Kenneth of Washington; Tom of Decatur; daughters, Janice Clifton of Marietta, Carol Wiegand of Smyrna, brothers, Harold Feldman and Floyd Feldman, both of Peoria; Alvin Feldman of East Peoria; sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Clara) Zimmerman of Eureka; Ethel Carlson of East Peoria; 13 grandchildren. Two brothers and one grandchild preceded her in death.

Mrs. Andrews was born in Saulsbury, daughter of 'John W. and Thomas Pearl Bryant. She married John David Andrews Sr. in 1924.

Semelka was born in La-Place, daughter of Willis H. and Martha Herman. She was affiliated with the First Church of God. She married Michael H. Semelka in 1923.

He died in 1980. Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Dean (Joyce Eaton of Decatur; Mrs. Clarence (Avis) Fischer of Danville; sister, Mildred Lontz of Decatur; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
