BECKY ANDERSON and Diane McLaughlin, students at Mount Zion Junior High School, placed among the top six statewide in a scenario writing contest sponsored by the Illinois Future Problem Solving Bowl and the Illinois Council of Gifted Children.

Becky, a seventh grader, placed second and her scenario was entered in the i national competition. Diane, an eighth grader, placed fifth. RonReaco Lee appears on "Tom and Jerry's Super Station Funhouse," a cartoon show featured on Turner Broadcasting System. The cable station is broadcast coast to coast. In Decatur, the show airs at 5:05 a.m. and 2:05 pjn.

RonReaco, 11, is of the children featured in the cartoon's segment "We carry pieces of puzzles," be explained in a telephone interview, "and all of a sudden the puzzle becomes animated.
