Tuesday in St. John's Hospital Springfield. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, Springfield. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Weaver was born Decatur, a daughter of William Edward and Bertha C. Edminston Adams.

She was married to LA. Weaver in Springfield in 1945. He died Oct. 11, 1965. She was a member of the West minster Presbyterian Church, Springfield.

Thursday, Holland and Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln; burial Decatur HUGHES Walter J. Hughes, 69, of 2185 N. Main St died at 12:48 p.m. Monday in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m.

Thursday in St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery, Bethany. Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hughes was born Nov. 10, 1901. He was the foster son of James and Margaret Reedy Hughes. Mr.

Hughes had been a Democratic committeeman in the eighth precinct, before being appointed a state highway maintenance supervisor in 1949. He was a member of Stephen Decatur Lodge 979 and was elected worshipful master in 1959. LANCASTER Mrs. Howard (Mabel Lancaster, 85, of 959 W. Decatur St.

died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in Muirheid Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Effingham.

Mrs. Lancaster was born in Edinburgh, a daughter of John and Melinda Rupe Woods. She was married to Howard Lancaster in Effingham Feb. 16, 1910. He died in February, 1955.

Mrs. Lancaster lived in Decatur 60 years. She was a member and deaconess of Central Christian Church. She leaves sisters, Mrs. Ruth Adams, Decatur: Mrs.

Minnie Effingham; Mrs. Gertrude Sutherland, Evansville, Ind. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. SMITH Mrs. William (Nellie Smith, 85, of 1255 E.

Clay St. died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Muirheid Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Brintl-inger's Funeral Home, where friends may call after 6 p.m.

Wednesday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born in Fairfield, a daughter of George and Emma McCrafic Berg. She was married to Ed Causey in 1908., He died Sept.

9, 1936. She was married to William Smith July 30, 1943. He died Jan. 22,1958. Mrs.

Smith leaves daughters, Mrs. Fred (Velma) Hazlet and Mrs. Charles W. Doyle, both of Decatur; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

SPAULD1NG Mrs. Roy (Nina Myrtle) Spaulding, 80, of 810 W. Elm St. died Tuesday morning in her home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.

Thursday in the Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Boiling Springs Cemetery. Mrs.

Spaulding was norn LaPlace, a daughter of William and Laura Miller Hornback. She had lived in Decatur for 59 years. She married Roy Spaulding on April 6, 1910, in Guthrie, Okla. He died Aug. 7, 1945.
