With his father he was a founder of the Durand Gazette, Durand, 111. After coming to Decatur, he became chief of fire prevention in the Decatur Signal Depot. Mr. Bancroft was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and belonged to Ionic Lodge 312, the American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans. He was a World War I veteran.

Mr. Bancroft was married to Rev. Muleady Ex-Decatur Resident, Dies Rev. Father Thomas A. Muleady, 78, of Kewanee, a former Decatur resident, died at 4 p.m.

Thursday in his home. Pontifical Mass will be said by Bishop John B. Franz of Peoria at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kewanee.

The office of the dead will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The body will remain at the church from 5 p.m. until midnight Sunday, where there will be an honor guard of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and Knights of St. John.

There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday and burial services at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the J. J. Moran Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.

Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur. Father Muleady was born in Decatur, a son of Thomas F. and Annie Hickey Muleady. His father was a custom tailor in Decatur.

He was graduated from St. Patrick School in Decatur, St. Mary's College, St. Mary's, and St. Bedes College, Peru; 111.

He served as pastor of Catholic churches in West-ville, Chenoa and for 14 years of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kewanee. Father Muleady leaves sisters, Mrs. T. J.

Cooney, Ann Muleady, Mrs. Celia Meara, W. W. Kerarney and Mrs. A.

Hayes, all of Chicago. Mrs. Julius Burtschi of Chickasha, Mrs. Richard L. Walsh of El Cerrito, Calif, and Mrs.

Vincent Delaney of Largo, Fla. Two brothers, Frank and James, preceded him in death. married Edith Smith; she died Aug. 13, 1956; leaves daughter, Mrs. Irene Pears, East Peoria; son, Harry, Mableton; three grandchildren; services 10 a.m.

Sunday. Burial will be. in Graceland Cemetery. Mr. Redman was born in Witt, the son of William and Hattie Toberman Redman.

He was a member of East Park Baptist Church and American Federation of Grain Millers 103. Mr. Redman was a stationary engineer for Archer Daniels Midland Co. He was in the Navy in World War II. Mr.

Redman was married to Martha Marie Butts in Taylorville Nov. 16, Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Moore of Marion and Mrs. (Norma) Remley of Decatur. One brother preceded him in death.

EDITOR FIRED FOR MILITANT ACTIVITIES Rockford, 111. (AP) Daniel Di Leo, president of Local 5 of the American Newspaper Guild, has been fired from his job as Sunday editor of the Rockford Register-Star, which has been struck by the union since Nov. 8. Announcement the dismissal was made by William Todd, publisher of Rockford Newspapers, Inc. Tcdd was quoted as saying that Di Leo, Sunday editor for one year and a member of the newspapers' staff three years, was fired for "militant activities" during the seven-week-old strike.
